Your AI Assistant Can Now Read Your Whole Buy Box History

Until now, the AI connector could look back 90 days at most. Now your assistant can read every check we have stored for a product, and it can see more in each one: who held the Buy Box and for how long, your review count, Amazon's ‘bought in past month’ band and your own stock.

What's new

  • Any date since tracking began. Ask about last Tuesday, last quarter or the whole time you have tracked a product, by day, week or month, for one location or all of them.
  • Who held the Buy Box, and for how long. Each seller's share, period by period, and each stretch a seller held it in a location, from when to when.
  • Reviews and sales band over time. Your review count and the ‘bought in past month’ band Amazon printed, period by period.
  • Your stock, location by location. Your own offer's stock over time, and every out of stock, low stock and back in stock event.

The AI connector lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any assistant that supports remote MCP servers answer questions from your own Buy Box Checker account. Its history tool used to give daily figures for the last 7 to 90 days: win rate, price, delivery days, rating, sales rank and competitor prices. Those are all still there. What changed is how far back it can look, how it can group the answer, and how much more it can see.

Ask about any date since tracking began

Your assistant can now ask for any range of dates back to the first check we stored for a product. It can group the answer by day, by week (starting Monday) or by month, so “show my weekly win rate since tracking began” is one question rather than a spreadsheet job. It can also narrow the answer to one location, by city name, ZIP code or postcode, which matters because the Buy Box is decided per delivery location.

History starts on the day you began tracking a product in a location. A product you added last week has a week to look back on.

Who held the Buy Box, and for how long

Your assistant can now see who held the Buy Box at each check, in three ways:

  • Each seller's share, period by period. For each day, week or month, the share of checks each seller won. Your own wins carry your brand name, and suppressed checks are counted apart from any seller.
  • A summary for the whole range. Who held it most across everything you asked about.
  • Stretches, location by location. Who held it in each location, from which check to which. This is what answers “who took my Buy Box in Austin last month, and for how long?”

The connector groups sellers by the same rules as the seller chart on your ASIN page, so the two give the same answer.

Review count and the ‘bought in past month’ band

Your assistant can follow your review count over time, so “how did my review count grow since January?” gets an answer period by period. It can do the same for the ‘bought in past month’ band Amazon prints on some listings, such as 1K+ bought in past month. Both describe the product as a whole, so they are not split by location.

Your stock, location by location

Your assistant can see your own offer's stock reading in each location over time, and every out of stock, low stock and back in stock event, with when it started and when it ended. So “was I in stock in Miami in July?” has an answer, as long as you track Miami.

One thing to know: when another seller holds the Buy Box, the stock line on the page describes their offer, not yours. Those readings are left out, so your stock history only ever describes you. A day you lost the Buy Box in a location has no stock reading there.

Asking about one product right now also shows more than before: the stock text and quantity Amazon printed in each location.

Questions to try

You never name a tool. Ask in plain English and your assistant picks what it needs. A few to start with:

  • “Who took my Buy Box in Austin last month, and for how long?”
  • “Which sellers held my Buy Box this quarter, and what share did each get?”
  • “Show my weekly win rate since tracking began.”
  • “How did my review count grow since January?”
  • “Was I in stock in Miami in July?”
  • “Has the 'bought in past month' number on my listing moved since spring?”

If an answer would run very long, for example a year of daily figures across many locations, your assistant is told it was shortened and can ask again for a shorter range, a larger grouping or one location.

What has not changed

  • Read only. No tool edits, deletes, pauses or spends, and nothing connects to Seller Central.
  • Every plan. History works on every plan, the Free plan included. Product Page Changes still need a paid plan.
  • Stored data only. Answers come from checks already in your account. A question never starts a new check.
  • Sales rank movers. The question “which products' sales rank improved?” still covers a window of 7 to 90 days.

Already connected? There is nothing to set up: start a new conversation and your assistant has the new history. Not connected yet? The setup steps take about a minute, and there is no API key to copy.

Frequently asked questions

How far back can my assistant look?

To the first check we stored for that product in that location. History starts on the day you began tracking, so a product added last week has a week of history and one tracked since spring has every check since spring.

Is this on the Free plan?

Yes. The connector and its history work on every plan, the Free plan included. The two Product Page Changes tools are the only part that needs a paid plan, as before.

Does asking about history run a new check on Amazon?

No. Every answer comes from checks already stored in your account. Asking a question never starts a scrape and never uses your plan's checks.

Can the connector change anything?

No. Every tool is read only. Nothing in the connector edits, deletes, pauses or spends, and Buy Box Checker never connects to Seller Central.

Why is there no stock reading on some days?

When another seller holds the Buy Box, the stock line on the page describes their offer, not yours. Those readings are left out of your stock history so it only ever shows your own offer.

Ask your assistant what happened

Connect the assistant you already use and ask about any day since you started tracking.
