Buy Box Checker ("Buy Box Checker," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of Ad Badger Inc., a Delaware corporation. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy").

This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the Buy Box Checker website located at buyboxchecker.com (the "Website"), use our Buy Box monitoring software and applications, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services").

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device ("personal information").

A. Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Data: Name, email address, password, and contact preferences.
  • Billing Data: Billing address and transaction history. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor, Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Monitoring Data: The Amazon product identifiers (ASINs), brand and seller names, and ZIP codes or locations you choose to track. You may choose to monitor products you do not own, including competitor listings.
  • Communication Data: Information you provide when you contact support, sign up for a newsletter or alerts, or use our public Buy Box check tool.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Details: IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, and pages visited.
  • Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and pixels (including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Reddit Pixel, Albacross, and PostHog product analytics) to operate the Services, understand usage, and improve the user experience.
  • Public Buy Box Check: When you use our no-signup Buy Box check tool, we record the ASIN you submit and a hashed version of your IP address to prevent abuse (via Cloudflare Turnstile). This does not require an account.
  • Device Information: Unique device identifiers and network information.

C. Amazon Product Data (Publicly Available)

Buy Box Checker does not connect to your Amazon Seller Central account and does not use the Amazon Selling Partner or Advertising APIs. To provide the Services, we retrieve publicly available information from Amazon product detail pages (such as the Featured Offer / "Buy Box" seller, price, stock status, and delivery estimates) for the ASINs and locations you choose to monitor, using a third-party data collection provider.

  • Not affiliated with Amazon: Buy Box Checker is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and optimize our Buy Box monitoring software and Services.
  • Process transactions and send related information, including confirmations and invoices.
  • Send technical notices, updates, security alerts, support messages, and the alerts and digests you request.
  • Communicate with you about products, services, offers, and events.
  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity and other illegal activity.

3. Sharing and Disclosure

We may disclose personal information:

  • To Service Providers: To contractors and service providers who support our business and are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential. These include, among others, hosting and infrastructure (Supabase, Vercel), payment processing (Stripe), Amazon product-data collection (Oxylabs), email delivery (Resend), background job processing (Inngest), product and web analytics (PostHog, Google), bot protection (Cloudflare), and referral tracking (First Promoter).
  • For Legal Reasons: To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including responding to government or regulatory requests.
  • In Business Transfers: To a buyer or successor in the event of a merger, restructuring, or sale of assets.
  • With Your Consent: For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services. We may also retain and use your information to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

  • Account Data: Retained for the duration of the customer relationship.
  • Monitoring and Historical Data: Retained while your account is active so we can show Buy Box history and trends, and deleted or anonymized on request.
  • Marketing Data: Retained until you opt out or request deletion.

5. Your Rights and Choices

A. U.S. State Privacy Rights (Including California/CCPA/CPRA)

Residents of certain states, including California, Colorado, Virginia, and others, have specific rights:

  • Right to Know/Access: Request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected.
  • Right to Delete: Request that we delete personal information we have collected from you.
  • Right to Correct: Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sharing: Request that we stop "sharing" your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We implement industry-standard security measures (including SSL/TLS encryption) designed to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password.

7. Children Under the Age of 16

Our Website and Services are not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
